Access Arrangement Assessments

I provide professional examination access arrangement assessments for schools and colleges.

Working closely with your SENCo or access arrangements coordinator, I carry out appropriate standardised assessments, interpret the results and complete the assessor’s section of the relevant JCQ documentation.

Your school or college provides the student’s background information and evidence of their normal way of working before the assessment. This ensures a clear, efficient and collaborative process that supports your centre in making appropriate access arrangement applications.

What Are Access Arrangements?

Access arrangements are agreed adjustments that enable eligible students to access examinations without changing the skills or knowledge being assessed. Depending on an individual student’s needs and normal way of working, arrangements may include extra time, a reader, a scribe, supervised rest breaks or the use of assistive technology.

What the Assessment Includes

I review the background information and evidence of normal way of working provided by the school or college. I then assess the relevant areas of learning, which may include reading speed, reading comprehension, writing speed and cognitive processing.

Following the assessment, I provide clear test results and complete the assessor’s section of the relevant JCQ documentation.
